How It Works:

STEP 1: OPEN THE RING
Grasp the Link Lock with two pairs of smooth-jawed pliers. Using a twisting motion, gently open the ring just enough to slide your charm, clasp, or chain onto it. Avoid pulling the ends directly apart.

A STEP 2: ADD YOUR PIECE
Slide your desired piece—such as a charm, a clasp, or the end of a chain—into the opening you've created on the jump ring.

STEP 3: CLOSE THE SEAM
Twist the ends back together until they are perfectly aligned. With the ends touching, use your pliers to gently squeeze the ends together until the small post on one end of the ring inserts into the tiny hole on the other.

STEP 4: LOCK THE LATCH
Locate the small, hinged latch on the outside of the ring. Fold the tiny latch down over the seam where the two ends meet. Once the latch is in place, the two ends are securely locked, creating a permanent connection without any need for soldering.
